I only wanted those for the colored eggs so as long as they lay colorful eggs I'm happy (:

Feed stores get their chicks from hatcheries. No hatchery in the U.S. has true Araucana. Only a few have true Ameraucana (and charge at least $20 a chick for them). Most have Easter Eggers, that they market as Ameraucana or Araucana to get a bit more money per chick. I love Easter Eggers. I think they are great. But they deserve to be called what they are, not misrepresented.

That's the thing about Easter Eggers. There are no guarantees for colored eggs. You might get a blue layer, but you could also have a cream or brown layer.

Well I hope mine lay colored eggs or I might end up with all Brian eggs due to my other chickens lol I tried getting 3 different colored eggs but it seems I might only get brown/blue
