Hi my name is Vivian and this is my first year raising chickens. I actually got them last April at our local feed store and they are now laying eggs daily. All 5 of them. I had 6 but one died. They are the funniest things to watch. Whenever I go outside they come running towards me, that's because I always have treats in my hands, and even when I don't have treats they still come running towards me. And they even follow me thinking I'll give them treats.

Chickens sure learn how to be little beggars fast, don't they? Glad you are enjoying them and it's great you're getting eggs now.

Hi Vivian and welcome to BYC. People seem to think that chickens are pretty stupid, but they seem to wise up when food is involved!
