New to ducks, what are the do's and don'ts?

So I have had raised chicks multiple times in my years of owning chickens but I was thinking about trying something new this spring, ducks. I've heard that ducklings are a little more care free and don't need as much heat and that's the only thing I know besides this pamphlet I got from tractor supplies chick days event, and another things I was wondering, how do you get ducklings to get to imprint on you? I was thinking of just going to my local feed store and ordering day-old ducks, but I thought I should probably ask some people with experience before I do anything. Thanks

If youw ant them to imprint, just speed lot's of time with them.Keep in mind if you get more then one,he won't be as imprinted on you.So he may sped more time doing foraging, and he may stop coming to you etc.As ducks grow up they become stubborn. But if you have one lonely duck,he will probably be the most sweetiest duck.

I have a  few chickens.

I was only thinking of getting two or three. Would they still be imprinted more on me rather then getting a whole flock of around 12?

Ducks are also more independent then a lot of animals I think, but that's just me.My ducks are all adults, and they leave the yard,go to the pond for hours,go to creeks, they even live the yard completely and find feilds.I have drakes though,so they stay pretty protected.

The have schedules. They usually seperate a lot.Drakes like to take their mates on dates. So two drakes will split the flock apart and go on their own mini dates.

I think it depends a lot on what breed of ducks you get. We got two baby Rouen ducks last spring and they are the tamest ducks you'll ever meet. We can pick them up whenever we want and they are completely relaxed, looking around like "oh, this is a different view!" But they've been picked up practically every day since they were babies, so they're used to it and completely trust us. Our Indian Runners, we got when they were several months old, and they are not nearly as tame. They get nervous if we get too close, they won't come eat out of our hands, and they run for the hills if we try to pick them up. From what I've read, Runners are a flightier breed anyway, but I think the main difference is having the Rouens since they were babies. I personally think you should get two- they feel most secure having a buddy. And ours both imprinted on us even though they were together. They'd follow us around the yard and were very affectionate babies. They were far more trusting of us than our baby chicks were.
