While your roo does have feathered shanks, he also has a single comb which is not characteristic of a light brahma - as well as his coloring being a bit off, I am seeing what is more likely a mixed breed rooster - and, as such, there is a bit of a wild card factor in what the potential chicks may turn out to look like.

I agree your rooster is a mixed breed. He has some barring in those sex feathers, so you may get some barred chicks. Basically, you've got Classic Barnyard Mix chicks.

Yes sorry the rooster is a mix. He is a light brahma and barred rock. I'm just curious if I'm going to wind up with a bunch of game chickens out of these chicks.

Well, if momma is a game bird, they'll be half game, half whatever daddy is. You can only get a pure bred baby if both parents are the same pure breed animal.

What would a half game bird and half non game bird be good for? I wouldn't think they would lay eggs very well.

Not sure how the crosses would dress out, but pure games are pretty much like eating pheasant. No body fat on them, so you cook them accordingly. Very tasty, though. Old ones tend to be very tough.
