glad to hear it!

What about buying fertilized eggs from a feed store? One of my local feed stores has a jar on the counter of fertilized eggs for sale. I was suspicious of how viable the eggs would be after being stored this way for who knows how long.

You did an amazing job with that article. It was super helpful because we are going to be restocking our small flock and feed stores are the best option.

I have never heard of buying fertile eggs from a feed store! I have, however, heard of buying and hatching fertile eggs from trader joe's and similar stores. Buying Fertile eggs is always a gamble, as they are generally shipped and potentially placed in harsh conditions. From eggs I've had shipped, I've gotten very poor hatch rates with one to none hatching, and recently a good hatch rate of 85%.
If you were to buy fertile eggs, consider buying from a breeder. That way, you have some amount of control over the shipping and you can know how they are shipped, where they are coming from, and you can make a claim if the box becomes damaged!
