What oher two bantams should I get?

I was given a 5 moth old bantam.I am not sure what breed, but she is very tiny.I let my hens free range almost everyday. They are mainly pets, for me anyways. For the grandparents they are just eggs, and somewhat pets. Here on this farm, they must defend themselves, like in the older days. When do not have time to watch them constantly.I am only here on breaks and weekends.Grandparents are out too much, and when they are, they generally aren't watching the chickens.

The bantam is catious. She is also sweet, probably could make her nice house pet,but ain't gonna happen.

We are concerned that she will be a very easy target for hawks. So,I was thinking about putting her in the small dog pen,and give her grains, water, feed, grass etc. But,I figured I didn't wanna leave her alone. So,i'm planning on persauding my grandparents into getting at least two more bantams to live with her,but I wanna plan ahead.

I do not want anything bigger then a silver grey dorking.I want something that lays ok,something that makes a great pet,and honestly,I don't care if it is known to brood a lot.Nothing too aggressive, and it has to be cautious.I don' wanna get something of the same breed.

I have a  few chickens.

2 barreds,named Falcon and Hawk

1 New Hampshire rooster named,Zeus

2 New Hampshire hens named,Vanillipe (One has no name)

1 silver laced Wyandotte named,Special girl

1 White Leghorn roosters named Foggy

3 black&red Sex links,(Black)angel, and one red is named little red,and the other one is Mrs.Prissy

And a few others that sadly, died

I have a 11 ducks.

I'd recommend Old English Game Bantams. They come in many different colors, and they are small, (mine is 15.95 oz) but tame and good summer layers. They also have exellent survival instincts, instantly freezing at a sign of danger and hiding instead of running. They are my favorite breed I have ever owned!

Are they a placid breed though? Just wondering because of the word game in their name.

You really want to keep like temperaments together, especially if in a smaller cage. I would share a photo of your bantam so we can see what it is and pick the right match.

It really depends how they are raised, but I do think they are easier to tame than any other breed.... Just my 2¢...
I wouldn't say they are any worse than the average LF, and I think they are largely bred as pets instead of fighting birds nowdays.

Yes, they are. They are one of the most common types of bantams.
