I think two girls and a boy but after my inaccurate guessing with my Marans I thought I'd ask here. I've not had Orpingtons before but I know they mature late. Needless to say we've had no eggs or crows yet!!

I'm hoping for two girls and a boy. My last three hatches have been 50% female (6 chicks)/100% female(6 chicks)/100% female(3 chicks)!!

The two I think are girls

Oh wow - I am useless at sexing!! Good to have three girls (if you're really sure!) but I now need to find them a boyfriend :)

PS it probably didn't help me that this was a 100% female hatch (assuming that the BYC experts are right!) - 3 Buffys and 3 Marans - so I've been looking for differences between all the girls rather than having an obvious boy for comparison. My broody hen has done a good job - she's hatched a total of 12 girls and 3 boys over 3 hatches.

Wow! What's your secret? :lau

Agree they're all female, and they're nicer looking Orpingtons than the usual hatchery quality. I hope you can find a male that's of a similar quality to go with them.
