I am incubating 2 batches of shipped eggs. I incubate in a forced air and hatch in a still air.
First are Runners sent from Idaho on March 7th. Arriving on the 9th. They were dated Feb 28th thru Mar 6th. Set on the 10th, upright in egg carton.

These eggs where packed very well.

Second are Silver Welsh Harlequins sent from North Carolina on Mar 8th. Arrived on the 10th. Dated Mar 7 th & 8th. Set on the 12th upright in carton. These eggs were not packed well, had 2 inches free space above eggs in single box.

I found this thread today and it explains the diff between a DAC and a Saddle AC and loose and rolling AC. this makes sense to me and i will and am following the instrucktions.

these are my SWH shipped eggs.

I have my SWH shipped eggs at a 45 degree angle (in my still air bator) and i am turning them 3 times a day. I even weighed my eggs this time. In this pic, the number that has a square around it, that is the weight of the egg. the pencil mark that kind of travels around the egg, is the rolling/loose AC. I need to read more on this and pray that I will have a few hatches from my shipped eggs.

say a prayer for my eggs, your eggs and all the eggs being shipped.
