Can someone tell me what breed my brown and white duck might be? He was all yellow as a duckling, and I assumed he was a pekin duck until his face and chest started turning brown. He was around 4 weeks old in the above picture.

He does sometimes, but not always. Him being so fat makes me think he can't be a runner duck. Lol

If he is too heavy you'll want to cut back on the protien levels in the food. How old is he now and what percentage of protein are you giving? Are you giving supplemental niacin?

It could be an Ancona. They come in other colors like lilac, blue, and silver but I honestly don't know much about the different verities and how common they might be.

He's around five weeks now and he's on a starter food still, it's a gamebird starter. I add crumbles of hard boiled egg shells in their food sometimes, and they eat lots of worms and sometimes veggies.

I think gamebird feed is normally really high in protein. It should say on the label. Right now they should be getting between 16 and 18 percent. You can cut down the protein by adding oats or other grains. Chopped up boiled egg is good but they don't need the shells until they start laying.

Cute pictures by the way.

This picture makes me laugh because he was trying to see over something, and he looks like he's about to beat someone up or something. Lol
He certainly doesn't walk while standing like this. But he does do it a lot. I think he only does it when he hears something that concerns him or when he's trying to see over something.

Thanks for the info!I don't think he's overweight or anything, he just doesn't have the slender body of a runner, in my opinion.
But I don't know what else he could be, unless he's some sort of mixed breed.
