I'm getting to final stages of my DIY bator. I'm using a Incukit minni DC as heat / thermostat and fan. I also added second fan to even temp differences. Can hold 30% rh with little adjustment also can raise it to 75% with second water bowl. The only trouble is even with 2 fans still have temp range from top to bottom of 99.3 on bottom 100.2 on top this bator has a rocking turner Like in a cabinet bator hi and lows are taken off tray at about egg center. I figured that if it was averaged out would be close enough to 99.5 so I set turner timer to 1.5 hours so eggs would not be in hi-low temp for great amount of time that is turning them 16 time a day. Is this to much? Ask my grandfather for some barnyard bantams to make first run he said instead I was getting turkey eggs he would have at least 2 dozen Friday. No pressure!!! So any advice for a newbee would be appreciated.
