One of our baby chickens, Hook, has an undeveloped bottom beak, and a sharply curved top beak , like an owl. Been getting food into him, softening with water. But last night he appeared to be choking, gasping for air, and his mouth was caked in food. Started to lay down, so we grabbed him , opened his little beak and turkey basted some water in there.

When we opened his mouth is the odd thing. Appears to have a flap of tissue vertically separating the inside of the mouth. We do not want to kill this little angel, any thoughts?
