One chick with loose stool. ..always a concern?

My 4 buff orps are 7 days old today. Have been happy abd healthy. Today i noticed 2 very loose stools in the brooder, cant tell yet from who. Theyve been on nothing but medicated feed, and were taking water with vitamins and electrolytes (1/4 tsp per gallon) until 2 days ago. Should i be concerned or doing anything? All are eating drinking and acting totally normal. Temp is now down to about 80-85 on the warm end of the brooder and 70-75 of the cool end . They have been busy practicinf perching and testing their wings. Are loose stools normal some times?

was it a cecal poo, those are stinky and loose normally? if not what I do that has worked beautifully for both chicks and hens is add a poultry probotic into their water. it adds LOTS of good bacteria to their guts and stops loose stool. I have a brand I perfer called PROBIOS. make sure it's Probios for poultry because they have it for different species. I order mine online by searching "buy probios for poultry" . one jar lasts a really long time. I came across the brand a few years ago when I had some chicks with pasty butt. it cured the problem in about a week and I've loved it and used it ever since. you might give it a try and see what you think. probotics are good for the chicks and for your adults. I think you will be happy with your results.

I just looked up what you said and it did look like that, just never noticed that from them before i guess. I will keep an eye on things and see what happens. Since my post i have witness all 4 of them with normal poop..so hopefully just me being a paranoid mama;)
