I am getting my chicks very soon so i start on planning my coop .
I am debating on which coop to have keeping in mind how tiny my yard is
Which on of the coops would you recomend

The first one is definitely too small. Are you going to let them free range in your yard little bit during the day? Why would someone noticed the second one is interesting, would like to see more pictures of it.

I'm not familiar with that breed. I would go with the first design as I think it would be easier to expand if you need to. These both look pretty small without knowing the measurements (I would think 2 hens just by looking at it without knowing measurements although 3 is better in case something happens to one) and in the first you could add on and attach another run to expand it easier then you could the second. Would they be allowed any time out or is that not possible where you are? The second just looks so enclosed looking to me as well. Just my opinion. Hope others chime in to offer their opinion.

Look into hoop coops. They are easy to build and pretty inexpensive. I would get three chickens in case something happens to one. Chickens don't do well alone. I looked up the second design and found more pictures etc. and it really doesn't give what you need. If the chickens are just using the coop to sleep in at night and to lay eggs then it doesn't need to be very big but if they are going to be in the coop and the run all day it has to be a good size.
