Moving a broody Cochin Bantam...

Well, my little black Cochin Bantam is broody/setting...AGAIN. I talked her out of it the first time (put her in a cage for a few days to break her of the mood). But she's at it again. The nest in unsuitable (too far off the ground), and I have no roosters. So I have acquired a few fertilized eggs from my neighbor, will build her a more suitable nest, move her, put the eggs under herĀ and hope for the best. Y'all wish me luck! :)

Is it possible to make the high nest so that hatched chicks can't fall out, but have to wait until you put them on the ground? If so this would be better than trying to move her and taking the chance of the hen rejecting the new nest and eggs.

Thanks for your suggestion, but not sure that it would work for this particular nest box. I have set her up w/a new nest situation. Hopefully it will work.
