6/7 month old.. possible rooster?

Yes, they free range and always seem to hang out under my 6x10 trailer. There are about 10 holes in there that they play and dust in. we check them out every day. even moved it yesterday. Nothing yet. We swear we will find the motherload shortly and there will be 3 dozen eggs somewhere..

If your leghorn has been laying for only two weeks, I would bet that your Ameraucna or Easter egger will start soon. They don't usually start as early as the leghorns.

That has actually happened to me once, or twice lol. I let my hens hatch out 10 chicks last year, and the first hatch she hatched out 5 chicks, and they all turned out to be hens. Anyways 3 of the 5 had started laying already, and I was almost positive the others had to be laying, just not in the nest boxes. Well it turned out that the one had a nest of almost 14 eggs in an old cat litter box that was going to be thrown out because the barn cats never used it. Then a while later I found out that the one that hadn't started laying yet had started a nest in a big box we had made to keep hay in, but all it has in it now is wood scraps and twine in it. And it wasn't just her. It was her, her sister, and their other sister! There were about 27 eggs back there, but most were cracked or crushed. And more recently the second batch of chicks that got hatched out had 2 chicks, one hen and one rooster. Well recently that hen has been flying into the hay loft in the barn and is laying eggs up there. There are tons of cracked eggs up there. I had found her old nest, but then she moved it and has like 20 different nests in between all the hay bales.....And just a few days ago one of the first five chicks(that's grown up now obviously lol) is laying her eggs in the bathroom of the old house on my property(or rather, my parents property) and the floor isn't stable enough to get in there to get her when she doesn't go to the coop at night, let alone look for eggs.

Sorry this was such a long story. I hope someone finds this interesting.

It has happend to me also, chicken fly over fence and layed daily in barn hayloft. LOL
Yeah just about an hour ago me and my sister were down at our barn and my sister was throwing down hay bales and when she moved one of them one of my hens popped out! She had an egg under her too lol.
