I'm new to chickens. Actually just got my first ones two weeks ago. Can anybody tell from the pictures, how old they would be?
Can you tell me how old my chickens are??

The reds are both mature hens. It's impossible to tell the age for sure once they are fully grown, but you can guess based on the feet and face. An older hen will have thicker, rougher, and overall uglier scales on her shanks, and her face will appear meatier and a little more wrinkled, especially around the eyes.
The Barred birds both appear to be young (12-14 weekish) cockerels. It could be the angle of the photo playing tricks on me, but I'm seeing roosters right now, at least the one on the left.

Thank you for the reply QueenMisha. As I said before, I am new to chickens. I'm still learning. The Barred chickens were sold to me as hens. How do you tell the difference?
There are many characteristics that set cockerels apart from hens. Comb/wattle, size, feet, stance, personality, and of course feathering.
Do you have any better photos of them? The tail on that bird on the left is really rather suspicious and I get a teenager-age feel from looking at them. But they do seem rather too dark in color to be purebred Barred Rock cockerels. It's possible it's the photo angle that's throwing me off.
