Clean the wound to ensure against infection. Keep in a quiet environment by itself. Keep warm. The wound may look worse than what it is.

It looks bad, but I have seen quail with similar "scalpings" and they have made it through with care and quarantine. Hope he makes it!

What do I need to clean it with and do I need to put any thing one or cover it up ?
