Thank you!! Took some more today, was sicker than usual so they didn't get to forage at all, but they got some new treats!

They loved the acorn squash.






 
They look very happy.
Fruits and vegetables are faves for my chooks. We often bring discarded 'ugly' stuff home from the supermarket to feed the chooks because they don't care if it has a few spots on it.
They are also happy carnivores though. :p
 
Thank you!! The squash is their favorite so far I think, apart from pumpkin last fall and yogurt...but nothing tops superworms or mealworms for them, they go nuts!
Silly chickens aren't huge fans of lettuce or kale so far so I'm hoping that will change, haha.
Recently starting giving them BOSS and Michonne will stuff as many in her beak as possible while Rosie won't eat them unless you crack them open for her...silly girl.
 
I guess chickens have different tastes too :p
Mine like to eat lettuce if we hold the leaves and let them tear chunks off. If we chop it up and put it on the ground they will eat for a bit then go off it. sometimes we use it as a grass substitute because we can't always let them out to the grassy part of the garden.
