I'm wondering if I really have enough room for my 6 RIR chicks. I bought this coop http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/precision-pet-farm-house-coop?cm_vc=-10005
and I have it all set up inside of a 6' tall 10'x10' dog run that will have a chicken wire "roof" on top for added security. My plan is to really just use the coop part for egg laying and for them to sleep. I plan on leaving the door open to the actual coop so they can get out into the dog run area as they please, and then I can also allow them to free-range the entire yard ( a fairly large yard) a few times a week when I don't work and can supervise.
I guess I'm really just wondering if they have enough room inside the coop for sleeping and egg laying? It just doesn't look that big but it says that it can hold 6 chickens.
