I can post some pictures later of my BO cockerel, but I'm uploading a video to my FB right now where all my pics are at so I can't access it. I also have some pics of a BO pullet that I had until recently too I can post for comparison in a little bit.

Alright, here are a couple pics of my cockerel and the pullet around the same age.

The pullet is on the left, cockerel on the right (the only 2 buff color in there). If you look you can see the pullet didn't even really have much of a comb then.

cockerel closer up.

Here's another one of them a little older. You can see that even in these the pullet barely has a comb or wattles. The cockerel's comb and wattles are really starting to get big and red at this point.

Hello,

I'm a new Chicken "mom" and absolutely in love with my six little chicks. They will be 7 weeks old on Monday. I have two Buff Orpington, two Light Brahma and two Barred Rock. One of the Buff Orpington has a more pronounced comb and I was worried "she" may be a "he" but after much research, it appears the Buff Orpington pullets resemble the cockerels for a while when they are young. You will need to wait until it is older to determine. I'm holding out hope mine is a pullet!
This is mine... Lucy. A Buff Orpington hen.

Here's wishing us both luck our little chicks are hens!
