Ok. We have been waiting for our tsc to tell us they have something other than pekins. Maybe I should just go look at what they have if they are mixed up like this?
I really don't want all pekins because the boys will have to be culled from my mixed flock (too big for my other girls).
What are some identifiers other than color that I could look for.
I cant help too much with what to look for since im obviously not very experienced. But i would say look up pictures of the breeds you like and what they look like as ducklings and then go see what they have.
And i would definatly just go look and not listen to what they tell you they have.
They told me twice over the phone they dont sell silkies and i went in and they hve a mixed bantam chick bin full of silkies! Lol
And with the ducks the employees are all convinced they have nothing more than the 4 breeds on their chart. Pekin, rouen, mallard and khaki.
But they had far more breeds than this. They told me the yellow was a khaki and the black swedisg they told me was a rouen. I just said thanks and bought them anyway haha
