Anyone know why my baby turkey's leg is like this?

It looks like maybe it was spraddled and has grown at an off angle. In the picture, it looks like the bottom of the leg is going out from the knee instead of down, is that correct?
 
I think so. I tried to take it back to the place I got the little guy so they can help me but they were of no help. I have zero experience with this stuff but I've been told to make a splint and straighten the leg out. Does that sound right? Keep it straight till he's healed up? I'm giving him aspirin to manage the pain for now.

Any help would be appreciated.
