Wyandotte Worries in Australia

post #1 of 6

I bought three young female Wyandottes who are fighting 50% of the time, challenging each other and chasing each other around the place - the speed they have is amazing.  I'm hoping they aren't roosters... can anyone guess?  Not sure how old they are.  They sure are cranky.  The man I bought them from said they were layers, but I'm beginning to think otherwise! :) There is a grey, a brown/white and a white/grey.  Thanks to anyone who can help.

None of the birds pictured are Wyandottes, and all of them appear to be roosters.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts."

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

I'm sorry you got duped. How long have you had them? I'd advise to box them up and take them back to the seller and get your money back.

You may want to post pics of birds you're considering buying before you purchase, to confirm breed and especially gender.

Thanks everyone, I've contacted the man and he's letting me return for a full refund today.  What a great website and what a lesson learnt.  Next time, I'll to to a proper seller and make sure I'll come home with lay-dees! Have a great weekend :)
