She is still hanging in - I thought she was a little worse tonight so we used an eye dropper to get some liquid Vitamin E straight into her. She has eaten breakfast and lunch, but hubby said she wasn't so interested in dinner. Still on tuna/egg/mash mix with extra selenium and Vitamin E.

Hopefully we will see some improvement soon, however slight. It is quite distressing seeing her with this, but at least we are doing what we can to help her.
 
Thank you for asking. Sadly we lost her yesterday. She just got worse until she was flipping all over the place and her head was twisted right around the wrong way. She lost control of her legs completely.

So very sad and distressing. I guess we have learned a lot and should recognize the symptoms earlier if it occurs again, heaven forbid. At least it isn't contagious!

We have only had chickens for 18 months, but we love our 'girls' and it is sad to lose one. We lost one to egg peritonitis just before Christmas and that was equally as sad, but again, we learnt a lot from it.

On the bright side, 5 weeks ago we hatched 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes and they are doing really well. They are being well looked after by a brilliant Orpington who is the best Mum. We are really enjoying watching them grow

Unfortunately some times our best efforts don't seem to be enough.
It's always a learning experience when it come to our sweetie tweeties.
