If they are upright and pip up into the air cell there is better chance of the extra fluid staying below the air cell, at least until they can make the external pip.

@Sally Sunshine so I'm on day 21... And I have 70% humidity... A few have told me my day air cell should be bigger... Should I love them to an upright position in an egg carton

I had humidity at 50% 1-18 based on the instructions I found here...

I guess this humidity thing is really trial and error...

Based on the pic below my air cells look like day 14 But I'm on day 21. Three chicks moved this morning when I candeled them, but tonight when I candled them No movement.

I have a forced air hovabator. I read in a thread that if you move them upright in an egg carton in the gator they might draw down a bit??? My question is.... Am I too late

Wedesday will be day 23... If there are no pips should I assume this batch didn't make it either.... ??

Have others had late hatches? I'm trying to be optimistic, read that 21 days is baseline and 23-25 days is normal

I am hatching welsummer eggs from my chickens

I would just leave them be for now nothing more you can do. I wouldn't take them out anymore and just leave them in lock down. Mine hatched between day 21 and day 23 and the wait was the WORST part smile.png
