New to ducks and need some advice

Following.

How old are your ducks now, @19trax95 ? I have a bit of variety on age. Our only hatched duck was just a week old this week. He was the only one, so we bought other ducklings for company. He has a 3-week old to play with, two 2-week olds, and one who is 2 days younger than he is. They all get along great!, and even tho the 3-week old one is a lot bigger than the others, he is still a duckling and proves it when you pick him up, he runs for the top of your shoulder to hide his head. But the others think he's in charge because he's so big. Silly babies. I love them so much!

I hate cleaning their tub, but it's a necessary thing. We live in the walk-out basement part of our house, and the garage is right next to our living area. So the chicks and the ducks are out there in their small pens, and go out during the day into a predator proof pen.

I can't get over how fast they grow!!!!!

Mine are a week or so shy of 3 months old.

I was amazed at how fast they grew. I think they are just about done growing now.

As for cleaning, yeah they do make quite the mess. And in a hurry too.

For their outside pen, I had grass and some mulch, but the grass was just turning to mud so I put some pea gravel in there instead. This way I can just hose the area down and clean it that way, and they should stay cleaner now as well.

They still get free range in grass when I let them in the yard.

And they LOVE meal worms as snacks. They go crazy when I bring some out. I like to hide them around their pen and in the yard and watch them find them.

They have yet to leave one unfound.
