Wow, Cooties is stunning! Thanks..I have a new mille fleur d'uccle chick, now 3 days old. I am going to use your baby pics as a reference as this one grows....

christinethemac, Very cute they are with their feathers growing in! If you look at the OP's pics on p 1 of this thread, hers both had a lot of comb at 2 !/2 wks. A lot more than yours.....I'd love to see updates as yours grow....
Sue
here's mine on hatch day...it will be fun to find out if it's a pullet or cockerel!

Look at that puffy FACE of sweetness!!!!!!!

The beards won't really show until they feather, but you can kind of see that they have puffy little chins/cheeks out of chick fluff. Look like D'Uccles to me!

These pictures are a week or two ago and the boy's is now bigger and even redder (pic2). It gets bigger and redder by the day. It's clear now that it's a he. The girls combs alll stayed yellow. I'd say by 5 weeks you can definitely tell on the d'uccles.

I love the little Mille babies and have had a couple sets of them. This year I have a Mille Fleur D'Uccle hen sitting on eggs, hoping for the best. She tried to set last year but kept getting off the nest. This year I think she is a little more faithful. However, I am curious to see the outcome since I have a gold Bantam Cochin Rooster in with the Mille Fleur D'Uccles hens! I'm hoping for poofy chicks with Mille Fleur coloring! Excited since they'll hatch soon!
