Injury or fungus? How to treat?

I have a silkie roo I discovered has a nasty sore on top side of his head. It has white flakey skin around the sore. I can't tell if it's from trying to heal or if it is from fungus. Both eyes and earlobes are swollen. More on the sore side. I plan on putting betadine salve on it and segregating him. But any added advice would be appreciated. Has anyone had something like this before?

It looks like he almost got scalped... Poor thing. :(

I would keep the wound clean as best you can.

As long as he is eating and drinking normally and not getting picked on, he should heal up just fine.

Watch for balance issues, leg weakness, or going off food and water.

I hope he heals up as good as new!

"If not now, when?"

Luke 22:36

Then said He unto them,

“But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it

and likewise his pack; and he that hath no sword,

let him sell his garment and buy one."
