That's something you will have to judge for yourself, if you are seeing too much of the feathers being worn off than you should reduce your rooster numbers.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.

It will depend on the roosters. Some will work together, set a hierarchy, and go with that for long periods of time. Some will have temporary truces, and some will fight to the death. Father/sons if the son is raised under the Father, tend to work best. Brothers or flock mates are chancy, some work, some don't.

A lot will depend on the amount of space you have.

Welcome to BYC!

What are your goals?

1:10 is commercial ratio for fertility coverage.

Depends also on how you obtain, house, and manage them.

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!
