On Saturday we had an owl get into our covered run. It beheaded 1 of our RIR and one of our silver laced was also dead but no obvious reason. Stress? The next afternoon all seemed ok but later in the evening I went out to check on everyone and 1 of our buffs was dead. After a stressful event like this is this normal? PTSD in a way? I feel awful! Is there anything I can do for them?
 
Odds are owl systematically captured each bird and delivered cervical dislocating bite. Such bites will not leave a lot of blood. Owl will keep coming back in short order until satiated. It will come back following nights if access not blocked.
 
Access is blocked. We have chicken wire covering all sides and buried several inches underground. The spot it had to have gotten in was eroded by the hens dirt rolling. Its completely blockked now. This buff died more than 24 hr after it happened.
