broody turkey?

Hey Y'all, I have a question, I have a Royal Palm hen that has not yet layed her first egg but yesterday she got on the nest and I was thinking she was going in to lay a egg but she was in there for hours. well she never came out of the box and she was puffing her self up at me when I tried to collect eggs that were under her so I made sure she was secure for the night, well this morning I went and checked on her if she was ready to come out of the box and she is still puffing herself up so my question is... Can a hen that has not layed a egg yet become broody, and if not is she having trouble laying a egg is there anything I should do to help her?
 
I'd think, it's pretty much raging hormones. We had one jenny that sat in the back corner for two weeks with no egg (and she'd laid her first in December and then no more until late April - nearly a month after her spell on the "nest").

My hens usually lay eggs before they go broody. Some times they stay in the nest and then they go out and may perch on the roosting pole. Does she hiss and pecks at you when you get close? When she is full broody, she will not move from her nest unless it is to eat something and poop.
Two of my hens went broody, one just hatched five poults, the other one still has a couple of weeks before they hatch.
Here are my two hens in their nest.




I had to move one of them so the poults be safe, the toms still spar for the affection of one the other hens. She hissed and pecked at me when I pulled her poults from under her to move them.

 
I have bourbon reds and one of my hens has a nest with 14 eggs. She was getting up once a day every time we went in to check on her. For the past 6 days she hasn't gotten up and she puffs up and hisses. I'm getting worried about the eggs is this normal? I tried giving her feed and water but she refuses to eat and drink. She is also in a pen with a tom and 3 other hens. I could use some advice as this is our first time with turkeys.
 
I would say she is full broody.

She may get up just once a day. To quickly eat drink and poop.

Watch those broody poops big and stinky.

If you get to worried set some food and water where she can reach it from the nest.

Her hissing and fluffing is a defense mechanism saying leave me alone.

Edit: if she is in a pen with other birds. Remove the tom as he may take her setting as a sign to mate.

The other hens may lay in the same nest creating a staggers hatch.

If possible at least try to segregate her some from the others

. Yesterday I wen to let the turkeys out of the pen and my RP was under the other Narragansett broody hen trying to lay her egg. If I had the babies there, maybe they would have been squashed. LOL
My other hen is in a separate section with her babies so they wont get trample or pecked by the other turkeys. here she is with two little one looking for food, the other ones were under her staying warm.

 
I have roughly the same problem...I have 4 hens total...two have been what I consider broody and on a nest for almost 2 weeks now with not an egg in sight...no interest in the Toms either. These are just coming yearling hens...any suggestions would be very helpful. We live in Wisconsin so I would think still too early for sitting but man do they hiss and get nasty any time you go by them.
