I have had several that initially have some white in them and even one that had A LOT! I attached a picture. But she feathered out beautifully and she was definitely 100% pure! I attached a picture of her now though it's not a very good one...I'm just finding this thread, and hoping you ended up with a pullet. But curious about the way it feathered out. I noticed a lot of white feathers on its chest at 5 weeks. I currently have a chick feathering out like that. I was worried it was pure. Is it commen for BFCMs to feather out this way? Mine never have before.
I have 4 BCM i ordered off tractor supply co, and 1 chick looks like a rooster. My 5 week old's comb and mullet look more red and bigger then your 7 week old's, so i think you have a pullet. So here it is 2 and 1/2 weeks later. Latte is now about 7.5 weeks old. She/he is getting some red hackle feathers. Her comb hints at roo to me, but her personality is more pullet like. She likes to be held and is very docile. What do you guys think? Or is it still to early? Sorry for the poor photo quality. Trying to take a picture of a dark bird that never stops moving in the house with not the best lighting is near impossible.
Thanks in advance!
