My husband and I are new to having ducks, but we have experience with chickens.
Our ducks are housed with our chickens in a big galvanized container in a spare bedroom since it has been rather cold here at night time. My husband and I go in quite frequently to interact and play with our ducklings and chicks.
My question is, sometimes when I hold my ducklings they go and bury their heads under my arms and fall asleep. Is this because they are content, or cold? I do not want to make them uncomfortable. They do interact with us by looking at us, and climbing on us. They even love to go play in my hair. Haha!
Also, sometimes, I hear the ducks making a faint "popping" noise. It is very similar to the noise of contentment that sugar gliders make. Does this noise mean anything?
