Hi! I'm Tracy, and I'm new to raising chickens. My husband and I just purchased a small farm outside of Charleston, SC, and one of the first things I want to do is start raising chickens for eggs! I'm looking forward to learning from everyone on this site. I know it will be a valuable resource to me as I start this new endeavor! smile.png

Hi Tracy and :welcome - glad that you have joined us and congrats on getting your farm - must be very exciting times I'm sure.

The Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Joining your state thread will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area, which can be helpful (just type the name of your state in the search box).

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
