Third attempt at posting...
My hubby made me a pond, and I want some duck proof aquatic plants. Is this a pipe dream,or would reeds and rushes survive a duck invasion?

I recently concreted a pond and have been mulling over the idea of plants inside and out. It seems to me from how the ducks respond to things. Anything small enough to eat, they will eat. So I'm thinking, large established plants that are big enough to withstand the onslaught of a few ducks, I have 10 with a broody less than two weeks out. I feel like I'm going to buy alot of plants they'll destroy before I find the right ones. Will be starting with shrubs of some sort on the exterior, in due time of course, alot of projects currently.

It's a big undertaking.I don't want to waste my time and money,on expensive duck food!

I've got some reeds and rushes, from a friend, in a few weeks. They will be well established,so let's see....
