Overwhelmed with incubator choices

I don't need something huge, I am thinking I would at max ever hatch 24 eggs at once, more likely staying in the 12 egg range (as many places sell hatching eggs by the dozen) or lower. There are so many choices. I am a complete novice and have never incubated eggs before. Please let me know what you suggest for a beginner with a small amount of eggs.

The first incubator I got is the Rcom King Suro 20. I have been rather happy with it so far. Fully auto so pretty much set it up and come back in 3 weeks to find it full of chicks
Have had to make a few adjustments such as the egg dividers not being adequate to hold a range of egg sizes so I just cut down an egg box. Also the sponge that keeps the humidity was a bit big, so cut that down.

But apart from those it holds it's temp very well, especially in the first several hatches, and again fully auto so very easy .
Only down fall is it's a bit 'plasticy' and flimsy so just don't drop anything or it will likely break.

I'm also currently considering an incubator and I'm leaning towards the Brinsea Eco 20, but i know that i will also have to make a few adjustments in terms of maintaining humidity - the fancier version is too costly for me.

If you search "incubator reviews" you should see some different opinions - theres also a Brinsea 20 thread that is currently active.

I would go with a brinsea eco. or a 1588 genesis.

Brinsea is about 170.

1588 with turner is about 200. It will hold 48 eggs.
Hatching can be addicting so always go a little bigger.

I have a brinsea 20 adv.
A 1588 and a reptipro 6000.

If it's still on there was a sale for the reptipro 6000. On the buy sell thread for 99 dollars.

All are good bators but I have hade best luck so far with my brinsea.

and if you can hand turn, that'll knock about $50 off for the Hovabator. I actually prefer the hand turning to the turners.

That would be my choice too. Love that picture window and view inside the bator!!

I currently have an R-Com 20, and R-Com Suro (both fully auto), a Conti 24 (semi auto) and a force air manual which I use as a hatcher.

Out of all of them I prefer the R-Com 20. Very easy to set up, never had any issues with temp or humidity fluctuations, and it isn't as noisy as the Suro (which is a factor when you are incubating in the spare room across the hall from your bedroom )

So exciting to be talking abut incubators again... I need to dust mine off and get them equilibrated as my first lot of hatching eggs shoud be arriving any day now

R-coms ar nice, but pricey like the Brinseas
