If you want to encourage quick replacement of flight feathers you will have to pull out the old clipped shaft from its wings.The clipped feathers will not bleed and it does cause the bird some discomfort. Otherwise you bird could remain flightless for over a year some times almost two. Pigeons unlike some birds never shed all thier flight feathers even in a heavy molt.ive got another issue my pigeons up the roof with half its flight wings because i clipped them and doesnt seem to want to come down
