Salmon Faverolles owners!!!

Hi all! Just wanted some input on this breed - I've got an opportunity to get this breed but haven't had them before. How is their egg production? Temperament?

Any other info to add?? Thank you in advance!

they come in both large fowl and bantam, i have LF and they have decent laying although they are a medium size egg.   temperament? it takes them a while to warm up to anyone, even as new hatched chicks they are very skittish even when regularly interacted with and handled, they don't really grow out of it either till they are nearly fully mature, they are very playful (with each other) and they are quiet till they decide to open up then they are chatter boxes, the only thing i wish was different about them is the being skittish, they are beautiful and i enjoy having them but they aren't lap birds by any means.

There is a whole thread dedicated to Faverolles here

My Faverolles lay large eggs, but they are not from a hatchery. I think most hatchery Favs lay more of a medium egg. They are decent layers but obviously aren't as prolific as the hybrids or Leghorns. Mine are spazzy from 4-14 weeks of age or so, then they calm down. They come running when they see me. Of course each bird is an individual so the amount of human attention they will tolerate will vary.
