Hi everyone. ... I bought peachicks from a very nice gentleman in Virginia 8 months ago. I know he had Java Green and Indian Blue together along with white and I believe cameo and maybe purple.....Im still learning colors. The peachicks are maturing nicely and no issues other than unsure of exact color/gender. I'm guessing I have an Indian Blue male and a Spalding but again.....I'm new to Peafowl and have lots to learn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On a side note both have been displaying though the brighter colored bird seem to display more.

Attached are a few photos of my Feathered Friends

Welcome to BYC!!! First off, those birds look to be in great health, indeed they are boy and girl, both look to be dark pieds, hen might have a small amount of green blood due to the barring on her back and the male's crest looks to be that of a spalding but pics can be deceiving.

Edit:
Ps: just in case, hen is the first 2 pics, rooster bottom 2.

Gerald....

I can't thank you enough! My husband is going to be super excited when I tell him. When I bought them I noted a slightly different barred pattern on the wings and I was certain I picked a male and female but have always second guessed myself. LoL
So.....just to be sure, you're saying they are Pied Spaldings?

Oh and thank you so much for complimenting on their health. I was a bit intimidated initially because I read so many things about peafowl getting sick easily but these are very hardy birds I have here. Been on a game bird food with the occasional treat of good quality cat food and fresh fruit. Simple and basic.
