I was wondering about what people use for the bedding for their chick brooder. I am just using paper and the chicks all have poop on their feet so any info ASAP would be great! Thanks.
How do you keep the chicks feet clean?

1/2 x 1/2 wire floor
Wood shavings work well.

I don't have any of those materials available so I ended up using hay and that worked AWESOME! I was using paper before and they would never sleep! They were just laying in their poop. So now that's basically all they are doing... sleeping. They seem to enjoy it though!
