Hatching
So at almost 4 weeks old all of my chickens can fly. Every morning when I go to give them fresh food and water they like to climb up my arms, get onto my shoulders, and fly to the top of the cage. After they they go right underneath the heatlamp and almost...melt? They just slowly lay down, wings held out or up and just lay under the heat lamp like so:
They seem to love it, they've done this every morning for almost a week. They stay up there a bit and work on their feathers and then they start peeping when they want back in the cage.
But I just want to be sure that 1) It's not hurting them. 2) I'm worried they're doing this because they're too cold in the cage.
They don't act cold but I could be completely wrong. What do you think? Do your chickens do this too?
