Hey everyone! I've been thinking of getting a pair of geese for the farm and have been trying to decide what kind to get. I was looking into getting a pair of Troulouse goslings(the smaller non dewlapped farm kind) from Ideal Poultry, because I like their size, look, and demeanor. Has anyone ever gotten them from Ideal Poultry? How did they turn out(pictures are a plus )? I've never had geese before, so this will be my first experience with them. I want to get a pair to guard the other birds(or at least the land the other birds are on) from predators and stuff, because I already have a dog for the goats, and a donkey for the cows. What are your thoughts?
Also, what do you feed goslings and grown geese? When do you transition them to adult feed? Anything special I should know? I've got Muscovy ducks and have been raising them for a while. Are geese basically the same as far as care goes?
Thanks in advance!!!
