Deformed head

I just received a batch of buff or ping to chicks in the mail from Hoovers Hatchery. One of the Chicks arrived with a deformed head. The whole right side of her head is sunk in which caused a scissor beak. I gave her water and tried to give food. I'm wondering if it would be best to dispatch of her or try to fix her beak. Any suggestions???

I wouldn't try to fix it, but some can live with it. You can do a search to find the best ways to manage it if that's the route to take.

Unfortunately, I'd cull that one. Scissor beaks tend to get worse as they age, and that ones already pretty bad sad.png Not to mention everything else going on there.

You should also send this picture to Hoover. That chick should've never made it into your box, in my opinion hmm.png
