When day 16 eggs go cold.....

Tomorrow is supposed to be day 18 for lockdown, but should I let them go one more day to catch up and then put them in lockdown on day 19? Any help would sure be appreciated

On the first day of lockdown my temp spiked to 104, I don't know how long it was that high; it was between 6am and 9 am sometime. I really hope I get at least one chick, this will be my second attempt to rescue eggs that were abandoned by my broody silkie. She is NOT allowed to sit on any more eggs.

Well, this morning I unplugged the incubator and pitched the eggs. They were both fully developed! They weren't turned the proper way... I think they died when the heat spiked in the incubator. I am so totally bummed. One was yellow and one was black. They were mutt "barnyard classics" from my other chickens.Goodbye forever, styrofoam incubator. May you burn in hell
