What breed is this chick? Was told barred Plymouth!

My friend got some chicks and was told one of the yellow gals was a barred Plymouth Rock and buff Orpington. Only now, overnight two appear all yellow! One IS a buffing ton Orp! And one doesn't seem to growing as rapidly as the others which are all the same age, one week. So she was told. Help please!

I don't see any Barred Rocks in the picture.

Looks like possibly Easter Eggers and Buff Orpingtons.

Occasionally one chick can be smaller than the others, running a little behind in growth.

As long as they are all eating and drinking well, have dry bedding and are warm you should be fine.

Barred rock chicks are black sometimes with a yellow spot on their head. Now it may be a buff Plymouth rock they do come in other colors but I have never had one as a chick to compare but def no barred rocks there I myself have 2 barred rock and 3 partridge rocks none of them were yellow as chicks

Good idea! Didn't think about Buff Plymouth Rock!

One place to look for possible comparison would be here http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/BRKBabyChicks.html

I just got 10 Long Island Browns and they look similar to your yellow chicks.

Our buff orpingtons looked similar at that age as well.
