My husband and I are having a hard time figurING out the sex of our chickens. Of these six chickens the Phoenix is the only one we think is a hen. Please help us we cannot have roosters in our area.

Pretty colored EEs, hoping I'm wrong but to me looks like all Cockerels except Phoenix & your RIR. #4 isn't an EE, the comb is single whereas EEs got "pea" combs. I maybe wrong, more will be peeping in to give their opinions. Good luck.

Sadly, this is what we were afraid of. Thand you for all your help... I hope we get a few more opinions but it's not looking good for eggs in the near future. ;)

My husband said that the lady who incubated eggs said that they were Easter Egger mutts. Could that be why it has a single comb?

Easter Eggers are just mixes that lay colored eggs. If it has a single comb it is unlikely that it carries the blue egg gene. They all are definitely cockerels except for the Phoenix, and I'm not positive on it being a pullet either...
