Ortho home defense spray safe when dry?

I know it says safe when dry but I just wanted to make sure since I am new to chickens. They are living inside still so if I spray and wait until the next day to take them out it will probably be ok? We live in the woods so bugs are a major issue. I'm hoping once they get bigger they might help out with it a little!!

It's not meant to be used around chickens or in their coops.  Permethrin is an approved product for poultry, use that.  Mary

The chicks are still inside and wouldn't go out for several more days. I need to treat the house not the coop. We get huge spiders this time of year and it's getting pretty bad!
