Thinking about getting ducks

Hi everyone. I have been lurking on here for a while and am thinking of getting ducks or chickens, although I am leaning towards ducks. Any breed recommendations? I can only have three. Would a trio be okay? Thanks!

Three is a good number for a small flock.
What are you looking for them to "do" and do you have a preference on looks or temperament?
