Do you ever notice if the younger chicks wind up being hens or roo's depending on how wide their too hat is? Some of my chicks seem to have a bigger,rounder puff then some seem to have a smaller patch that stands higher.??

On the white crested varieties, the messy hairdo will usually mean a rooster, a more controlled one a pullet, others like buff and black laced, they both have messy hair, you will notice wattles developing on roosters sooner.

Ahhh, good to know! I've only had laced, so that explains why I never noticed a difference lol
