ok i'm gonna get a dexter cow for my drinking milk but i need all pros and cons of the pygmy goat and nubian goat and nigerian dwarf goat and merino sheep and i feel like the sheep is better because it has a wool and cheese making etc. but i really want something with a goofy personality but sheep typically don't have one and is it worth it to have goats that don't give you profit but only cost you money or should i get milk from both and if i get goats which breed has a funny, goofy, clumsy and sweet personality and is there any kind of sheep like that

I like Nubians, I would pick them over the miniatures. I had had bottle lambs that acted like dogs, but raised by a ewe they are just skiddish and wary. Both have different mineral requirements so I would keep them separately if you chose both. Goats can make trouble and can't be herded, sheep are easier to confine and graze the pasture close where goats like browse and will leave the pasture about 6 inches unless forced to eat down farther. Goats are picky eaters and can have troubles with worms. I found sheep shearing to be a pain, either to do yourself or to hire someone. It just depends on your set up and how you are planning to feed and care for them.
 
ok btw if possible i would like to have polled goats and/or sheep i don't want them to go though that pain and i don't crop my dogs ears or there tails
 
well i don't have much land now but i'm under 18 so i'm trying to get my family to move i only have 3/4 of an acre btw if and when i do move i will have 25-100 acres so i will have some room for them and is sheeps milk better for cheese etc or goats milk but is it really worth it to have goats that just take your money away but i would love to have 2-40 sheep for wool to make cool stuff out of and is merino wool soft and comfy for dogs cats horses ect. i would like to make/give to someone they make it and then send it back, blankets for the horses socks and hats for me and my family and a shirt for my dogs that don't do well in cold like the doberman pincher but not for german shepherd and blankets for any other animals i have that get cold in winter if anyone has any thing to ask you give me a Q and i will give you a A
 
Just a note: you can't breed for polled goats. However, you can choose sheep breeds without horns and the dehorning process really isn't so bad if done properly with a hot iron (don't skimp and buy cheap irons - they don't get hot enough and can cause brain abscesses)
 
Many Nigerian dwarf are polled, you do need some that aren't polled if you are breeding as breeding polled to polled can give you infertile females. But you can just buy polled ones or ones already dehorned.
 
ok, i'm fine if they have horns i would prefer no horns but if they don't like to head butt people of animals without horns they can keep there horns and if there yong i can train them not to head butt anything except other goats but i still really love that personality that will make you laugh so hard you start crying
 
Don't engage in any head butting play with them when they are babies and they won't head butt you only other goats.
